An inventor's daughter and wife were involved in an accident that left his wife dead and his daughter in a three year long coma. The inventor was able to develop a helmet like device that allows the wearer to both transmit and receive electrical impulses directly to the brain. Using this device, he is able to act in an computer generated world. He market's this to a computer giant and they create a virtual reality game to be marketed with the helmet. The inventor uses the helmet on his daughter in the hopes that he will be able to communicate with her in the virtual environment. To his joy, it works and he is able to be with her, talk to her, and adventure with her in the online world.
However, not all is as perfect as it seems. After an encounter with a rogue monster, it is discovered that a hacker has been harming people through the use of the helmet's ability to send electronic signals to the brain. The company recalls the helmets and replaces them with non-sensing typical VR helmets and mouse/keyboard controls. The inventor is now tasked with developing safe-guards for his device and finding out who this hacker is that is wreaking havoc in the online world.

A New Project
This is a new project for a story that I have been thinking of for some time. It began some time ago after I watched an anime called .Hack//Root. I thought the initial story idea was interesting, but like most Japanese cartoons it got really bizarre and weird quickly. The other sources of ideas for this story came from Focus on the Family's Adventures in Odyssey and some real-life stories of computer hackers. I initially thought of writing this story as a book, but after some thought, I feel that it would work much better as an audio drama. A completely different form of writing though, so it will take me some time to get it usable for a script. I'll also need to get voice actors, sound effects, music, and put in a great deal of time editing to get it to work out properly. I'm sure there will be several changes that I will have to make to the script as well as the production ensues. Well, that is good enough for a first post, I'll put down some of the plot ideas and continue on from there.
